Summertime In The  Rockies

What can I say but it’s getting hot in here!  It is time to get out and enjoy the sun with family and friends and we have some suggestions on how you can do it. There is still time to join a class at Cleo Parker Robinson’s Summer Dance Institute and Laura Anderson tells you how and what to expect. Read about what’s happening at the Denver Black Arts Festival and also the National Blacks Arts Festival’s 20th anniversary in Atlanta. Relive the past as Raymond Dean Jones takes us back with Live..At The Rossonian. Find out what’s in store for Denver during the Democratic National Convention when the After Five Jazz & Blues Festival host a 7-day event in the Historic Five Points. And if you’re not sweating enough already, see how participants in the Explosive Championship Fighting work off a little steam. And for the little ones (and some adults), the Urban Farm - Denver’s best kep secret - has the ticket!
So, if that’s not enough, take in a summer concert, visit the zoo or museum, head to the mountains, check out a comedy show or just picnic at the park! But don’t forget to take your Spectrum and read Barack Obama’s speech to supporters on the last night of voting in the primary campaign. Enjoy!
