A Mother’s Love
This month as we celebrate Mother’s Day, we honor and recognize three very special mothers.
Although biologically she may not be a traditional mother but she is the mother of many. Elbra Wedgeworth is the mother of Denver’s community. Annette Walker talks with us about her guiding light. Read her story and find out why and how her commitment to Denver has brought her to where she is today.
Last month Denver was graced with Susan Taylor with a special guest appearance during the Greater Denver CARES mentoring movement launch. James Ainsworth spoke up close and personal with Taylor about her spiritual journey of how and why she is the mother of so many children - many she will never meet but are a positive result of her divine spirit.
Our third mother is Ruth Boyd who left this earth six months ago leaving a legacy of undying love for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. This will be my first Mother’s Day without my Mother. I share with you a poem about how I cherish her memory and how she still lives - in my heart.
So as you honor and remember your Mother this month, every month and every day, look into your heart, feel the spirit and see the light.
Peace and blessings.
